Press Release Body: Spoil yourself in amazing Canton Travel or relaxation after business trip in Guangzhou and discover China hidden in the town and even village. This April, I visited Foshan, a small town near Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province after I was on a business trip of Canton Fair.
One day Tour to Foshan with lunch (private Car, Driver and English Speaking Guide).
Drive to Foshan, visit Temple of Ancestors, Paper Cutting, Porcelain Art in Shiwan.
Temple of Ancestors: The Temple is located in Chancheng District of Guangdong, which was built between 1078-1085 for the offering sacrifices to the Northern Xuantian Emperor, so it was called \"Northern Emperor Temple\". The original building was destroyed at the end of the Yuan Dynasty and was rebuilt in 1372. Its long history has resulted in it being named the \"Ancestor Temple\". In 1962 it was selected as a Guangdong Provincial Key Cultural Relic Protection Unit, under the administration of Foshan Municipal Museum.
Foshan Paper-cut: Foshan paper-cut has a long history of hundreds of years originated in Song Dynasty. In ancient times, the paper-cuts were mainly used for festival gifts decoration, sacrificing decoration, embroidery carving patterns, and product trademarks etc. The local copper foil and silver foil are used with cutting, carving and chiseling techniques, lined with various color paper and printed with various patterns to create the paper-cuts with southern styles. Foshan paper-cuts have both delicate and bold expression means, and different materials are selected according to different demands. Girls \"WOOW, SEE THIS, INTERESTING, SO COLORFUL\" and we all enjoy the marvelous handicraft.
Porcelain Art: Another place you must go in Foshan is the old porcelain furnace in Shi Wan. That furnace was said to be in operation since the Tang dynasty, and the fire inside was always keep alit. It is still in operation, and is still producing some of the exquisite china-ware that made Foshan famous. Surround that site are many workshop of the local artists. And if you have a day to spare, you can actually find some amazingly creative and original artwork by exploring these workshops.
